| Keith Plowman is our Senior Clerk.
Keith has been a barristers’ clerk since 1982 and he has been our Senior
Clerk since 1992.
The Senior Clerk manages the practice
of each barrister in Chambers. He leads a team of Clerks in the Clerks'
Room all of whom are there to support the activities of the barristers
in Chambers. The Senior Clerk also oversees the administration of Chambers'
business and plays a key role in the overall welfare, marketing and development
of Chambers. He has unique experience of each barrister's skills and abilities
and is able to advise on the suitability, availability and likely cost
of instructing any member of Chambers.
Working alongside Keith is Marc Schofield,
the Deputy Senior Clerk. Marc has extensive experience of Chancery practice.
He has been a barristers' clerk since 1980 and was the former Senior Clerk
at 8 stone Buildings before its merger with Ten Old Square in 1996. Marc
is equally qualified to provide advice and assistance with the availability
and cost of instructing appropriate Counsel.
Indeed, both of our Clerks have built
up a significant reputation for the candid, professional manner with which
they approach their work. They continue to win praise from clients and
legal professionals. The Chambers UK Guide effused "the clerks at that
set are really fantastic". The latest edition of the Legal 500 says "The
level of service is terrific with excellent response times and helpful
clerks".
