Jeremy Callman has a Chancery and commercial practice, focusing on litigation. He was called to the Bar in 1991.

Chambers UK 2012 rank him as a "star performer" and describe him as "one of the leading partnership specialists in the field," and as a lawyer who gives "excellent advice and is extremely knowledgeable on complex and untested areas of LLP partnership law". His meticulous attention to detail means that in litigation he covers every angle and leaves the other side no room to escape".

Practice Overview: The broad range of work he undertakes includes partnership/LLP and business disputes, general contract and commercial law (including sale of goods), banking and building society law, professional negligence, insolvency and bankruptcy, landlord & tenant and real property. Jeremy regularly represents clients at arbitrations and mediations.

Partnership Work: Jeremy has a strong reputation in partnership/LLP litigation. Additionally he advises on non-contentious partnership matters. He regularly advises managing partners on internal issues within partnerships/LLPs. He represents both firms and individual partners, from solicitors, accountants, doctors and dentists to hedge funds, recruitment consultants, architects, theatrical agents and farmers.

He is the sole barrister member of the Association of Partnership Practitioners Committee (as well as lecturing to that organisation on a number of occasions). 

He regularly gives training courses to solicitors on advocacy, drafting and other litigation skills, partnership litigation and mortgage law. The firms he has trained include Clifford Chance, Linklaters, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Eversheds, Richards Butler, Sidley Austin and Masons (pre-merger), as well as the Solicitors' Association of Higher Court Advocates.

He has written for The Sunday Times, The Mail on Sunday, The Solicitors Journal and the Journal of International Banking Law, the Association of Partnership Practitioners magazine 'A Propos Partnership' as well as appearing on Radio Four.

Jeremy is the former European and UK (Observer Mace) Debating Champion. He has served on the Professional Standards Committee of the Bar. He is the Astbury Scholar and Lechmere Prize Winner of the Middle Temple.

Jeremy is a member of the Chancery Bar Association, the Association of Partnership Practitioners, the Property Bar Association and the Professional Negligence Bar Association.

Beyond his practice, he is married with four children, and works with Norwood, a leading UK charity supporting children and families with learning disabilities.
