Richard Wallington has specialist
knowledge and experience of
trusts, wills, probate, and administration
of estates (contentious and non-contentious); claims under Inheritance
(Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975; taxation of trusts and
estates and associated personal taxation (especially inheritance tax);
professional negligence claims and rectification claims in respect of trust
and similar documents.
His practice also includes the broad
range of Chancery work and he has particular experience of real property
matters, both contentious and non-contentious.

Williams on Wills in 1978
• He became one of the editors of
Foster’s Capital Taxes Encyclopaedia (later Foster’s Inheritance Tax) in
1982 and then became general editor of Foster’s Inheritance Tax and responsible
for the entire work in 1990

as a leading junior in Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate and says he is
"recommended for his drafting skills, especially on wills and complex deeds
of variation" and The Chambers & Partners Guide to the Legal Profession
2005 lists him as a leading junior for Traditional Chancery work and Charity
work and says "He's on [the] list of top estates-and-wills men" and has
"impecable drafting skills".
He is a member of the Chancery Bar
Association, the Revenue Bar Association and STEP.
