The 2017 London Trusts Conference looked at Trusteeship in a changing landscape with Professor Charles Mitchell delivering the keynote address. The 2017 event followed the highly successful launch of the London Trusts Conference in 2016 with keynote addresses from Lord Millet and Master Marsh.
Leading experts examined the impact of the recent judgment in Dawson-Damer v Taylor Wessing on disclosure of trust documents and response to subject access requests under the Data Protection Act, as well as a post-election update on recent changes to the non-domicile rules and the impact on trusteeship from an offshore perspective. We also explored partnership law for private client lawyers, provided a robust discussion of human rights issues facing trusts and trustees in relation to trusts and the keynote address was about ‘judicial encouragement’.
