Paul Stafford appears in important case concerning manorial mineral rights

Paul Stafford recently appeared with Fenner Moeran KC in a trial in the Chancery Division before Falk J in Wynne-Finch & Ors v Natural Resources Body for Wales [2020] EWHC 1924 (Ch) (27 July 2020).
The decision has already aroused much interest and is the first for some years on the subject of manorial mineral rights. It is of particular importance for understanding the court’s approach to the meaning of ‘minerals’ and ‘stone’ in mineral rights reservations, and for its development of the law in relation to the adverse possession of minerals estates.
Paul will be discussing the case in his two hour MBL Webinar on An Introduction to Manorial Rights & How They Affect Property, at 10am on 19 November 2020.
It will also figure in his forthcoming book, A Practical Guide to the Law of Manorial Rights, due for publication in 2021.
