Georgia Bedworth appeared as successful Junior Counsel (led by Sarah Haren KC) in the latest application before the English court involving the Hinduja family -an application for permission to use documents from the Court of Protection proceedings concerning the late SP Hinduja for the purposes of other litigation. Georgia acted for SP’s daughters.
In the first published judgment on an application to the Court of Protection for permission to use documents filed in Court of Protection proceedings for other purposes, the Court accepted SP’s daughters’ position that the Court of Protection should control the release of documents and take a staged approach.
