Ten Old Square is delighted to be hosting this specialist seminar in association with Pump Court Tax Chambers, to review the major developments in LLP taxation arising from recent litigation.
Drawing on their involvement in many of the leading partnership tax cases of the past year, our speakers – including Jeremy Callman and James Kirby – will provide practical insights into the most significant recent judgments and their implications for LLPs, partners and advisers.
The seminar will examine the Supreme Court’s decisions in BlueCrest Capital Management (UK) LLP v HMRC and HFFX LLP v HMRC, together with the Upper Tribunal’s judgment in BCG v HMRC. Topics will include:
- Salaried Members Rules
- Partnership profit shares
- Mixed member arrangements
- The distinction between income and capital
- The evolving tax treatment of LLP members
Designed for legal and tax professionals, this seminar offers a valuable opportunity to hear directly from counsel involved in these landmark cases before concluding with drinks, canapés, and the opportunity to network with fellow attendees.
