Ten Old Square is an award-winning set of Chancery and commercial barristers.
Our barristers are leaders in their field. They provide their clients with advocacy, advisory and drafting services of the highest quality, across their areas of expertise.
Our head of chambers is Simon Taube KC. There are currently 26 specialist, independent barristers practising at Ten Old Square. We have been based in Lincoln’s Inn since 1996, following a merger of three leading sets of Chancery chambers with a history that can be traced back decades before that. One of our former members (the Hon. Mr Justice Rajah) is now a High Court Judge.
We have a practice management and clerking team which is renowned for its experience, responsiveness and efficiency. The team is led by our Senior Clerk, Keith Plowman, who has been a barristers’ clerk since 1982 (and our Senior Clerk since 1992), supported by the equally experienced Marc Schofield (our Deputy Senior Clerk) and by Fay Bennett (our First Junior Clerk). Between them they have over 100 years of clerking experience and continue to garner praise from our clients for their enthusiastic and valuable guidance.
