Robert’s non-litigious practice includes drafting and advising on trusts, wills and administration of estates and associated documents such as deeds of variation and deeds of appointment. He also advises on related taxation and in particular Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Stamp Duty Land Tax.

Robert is also regularly instructed by prospective parties to litigation relating to trusts, wills and the administration of estates and to associated and subsidiary documents and transactions. Typical matters involve Inheritance Act claims, removal of trustees, challenges to wills and the construction or rectification of wills, trusts or other documents. His practice now only rarely involves matters proceeding to trial with most disputes being settled, often at mediation, and generally on confidential terms.
